Two people were apprehended Wednesday in connection with 2 whorehouses police said were operating in central Las Vegas.
Javier Garcia-Rodelas, 42, faces 5 counts of pandering adults for hooking and 5 counts of receiving incomes from prostitution. Edelmira Beltran-Blanco, 41, deals with a sex trafficking charge, four counts of pandering adults for hooking and three counts of receiving earnings from hooking. Garcia-Rodela is being held at the Clark County Detention Center with bail set at $30,000. Beltran is likewise being held at the detention center with bail set at $31,000.
The Clark County district attorney’s workplace is anticipated to submit official charges versus them Monday early morning, according to detention center records.
Las Vegas cops said its Vice and Sex Trafficking Examinations Area got tips in February that the whorehouses were operating from homes in the 1800 and 2300 blocks of Walnut Avenue, near Treasure trove Roadway and Eastern Opportunity. Those pointers resulted in search warrants and arrests Wednesday.
The FBI and Homeland Security investigators joined Metro as part of the Southern Nevada Human being Trafficking Job Force, police said.
