Metro police block a street after an officer-involved shooting on July 24, 2017 (Gai Phanalasy/FOX5). LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro police shot two individuals, including an “armed and harmful guy” and a lady, following a pursuit Monday night near North Las Vegas. The two suspects were shot in the location of East Craig Road and N Fifth Street around 7:30 p.m., according to cops.
City Authorities stated the circumstance began as a pointer from a victim who was shot in the leg on a bicycle Sunday near Rainbow Boulevard and Gowan Road.
On Monday, officers went to a house on Welsh Circle where they believed the supposed shooting suspect might be. Police said the suspect came out, entered into a car with a lady and removed in a stolen Honda that matched the description of the shooter’s car from Sunday. Officers pursued him and a helicopter followed, City stated.
The lorry crashed on 4600 block of Goldfield Street in North Las Vegas ending a “lengthy pursuit.” The two suspects got out of the car and the man was armed.
The man ran and turned, holding a gun, shooting 2 to 3 rounds in the instructions of two officers, Metro stated. The officers returned fire, which hit the guy several times. A weapon was also discovered inside Honda.
The female’s wrist was hit by shooting. It’s unclear if that shot was fired by the suspect or cops, Metro said. The man suffered unidentified injuries. Cops said the female’s injury was not critical, and the man’s injury did not seem crucial. Both were transferred to a nearby medical facility.
No officers were injured in this occurrence.
