3 shot, 2 dead, 1 gets away, 1 makes it through in Vegas dark alleyway killing

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) –

Two individuals were killed and someone was critically hurt in a shooting in the alley of a Las Vegas community Tuesday morning.

4 individuals were inside of a rental cars and truck at 3:28 a.m. on Silver Dollar Opportunity, near Sahara Avenue and Valley View Boulevard, when the cars and truck crashed.

Lt. Dan McGrath of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the shooter was sitting behind the chauffeur. He shot two male passengers and the female motorist. The car kept going up until it hit a light pole.

Authorities said the female chauffeur and among the male passengers was noticable dead at the scene. A guy in his twenties was required to University Medical Center with a gunshot injury to the face. He was listed in important condition. Authorities hope he recuperates and leads them to the shooter.

“He has serious damage to his eye and bullet pieces in his head,” McGrath said.

Police stated the suspect, described as a black male using a black T-shirt with a stocky build and a short stature, was seen running from the location.

The rental automobile had shattered windows and blood dripping from the door. Investigators covered the entire cars and truck with finger print powder in an effort to discover prints. Officers also stated they planned to figure out who leased the automobile as a part of the examination.

“(We found) some of the female’s hair. I’m not exactly sure if (the shooter) aimed to pull her back in the car, but the door was open,” McGrath stated. “The motorist’s door was open, and it looks like she may have gotten shot and tried to get out.”

he criminal activity scene was graphic. Neighbors described a “river of blood” in the street. A large number of households with kids live in the area.

“Somebody’s killing someone! Do you know how hard it is to try to eliminate someone?” stated next-door neighbor Modesto Torres. “That’s like a big offer!”

Police do not think this was a random attack. It is too early in the investigation to identify if the occurrence was connected to gang or drug activity.he Clark County Coroner’s Office will later on release the identities of the deceased.
