(RNN) – Actor Penis Van Patten, who starred as patriarch Tom Bradford in the TELEVISION show Eight suffices, died at the age of 86, a representative said Tuesday.
Individuals reported his death was due to issues from diabetes, and he passed away at Saint John’s Medical facility in Santa Monica, CA.
Van Patten started acting at the age of 7 on Broadway and appeared in more than 30 Broadway programs. He had more than 150 credits in TELEVISION and movie, according to IMDB, consisting of regular roles on The Love Boat and The New Dick Van Dyke Program.
Among his film roles were supporting parts in 3 Mel Brooks: High Stress and anxiety, Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Guy in Tights. He worked progressively into his 80s, with guest areas on shows like Hot in Cleveland which ’70s Program.
His very first TELEVISION role began one of the medium’s very first hits, Mom, which ran from 1949 to 1957 and was an adjustment of a radio show.
Van Patten is survived by his 3 kids and his better half, Pat Van Patten, who he wed in 1954.
