The company has begun the hiring procedure to fill 500 full-time positions at its soon-to-open fulfillment center in North Las Vegas. The 800,000-square foot facility, set to open this summer season, will mark Amazon’s second center in North Las Vegas.
With the addition, Amazon will utilize 1,000 full-time associates in Southern Nevada who deal with brand-new technologies to select, pack and ship larger client products such as tvs, kayaks and outdoor patio furnishings.
In addition to its existing North Las Vegas center which opened in 2009, Amazon also has fulfillment places in Reno and McCarran in the northern part of the state, with an employment base of more than 3,000 Nevadans.
Amazon authorities stated the business offers competitive per hour incomes and a thorough benefits bundle, consisting of medical, dental and vision insurance, performance-based bonus offers, 401(k) and company stock awards. The business also allows as much as 20 weeks of paid leave and benefits for new moms and dads.
Amazon uses routine full-time workers the Career Choice program, in which the business prepays as much as 95 percent of tuition for courses associated with in-demand fields, whether the skills are relevant to a profession at Amazon or not.
