Authorities examine fatal shooting near northeast Las Vegas park

( Kurt Rempe/FOX5). LAS VEGAS( FOX5)-. Las Vegas City authorities investigated a murder in northeast Las Vegas on Thursday night. Officers reacted to the event at 7:31 p.m. near Lewis Household Park located near Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.

Mentioning the preliminary investigation, authorities stated the 16-year-old victim and his friends met 2 suspects which led to an argument and then a physical fight. The battle escalated when both the victim and suspect fired their guns. One of the rounds struck the victim in the upper body, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Private investigators situated two guns at the scene and they believe a third weapon is with the suspects, authorities said.

Two suspects left the scene before cops arrived. Authorities described them as 2 Hispanic males in between the ages of 16- and 18-years-old with medium develops. One suspect had facial hair. They left in a small black or dark blue Toyota or Honda with black rims and a loud exhaust.

Authorities think the shooting is drug-related.
