Authorities investigating weekend shooting in downtown Las Vegas

Metro Authorities City Authorities state this automobile was involved in a shooting about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the crossway of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard South in downtown Las Vegas.

Metro Authorities state they are investigating the shooting of a bystander Sunday evening after an argument on a downtown street corner intensified into gunplay.

Officers were dispatched about 5:30 p.m. to Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard South, where they discovered a male struggling with a gunshot wound, cops said. He was taken to University Medical Center and was expected to endure, police said.

Two groups of people were arguing when a passenger in a car, who was involved in the conflict, shot through the window, striking the victim, who wasn’t part of the battle, police said.

The vehicle, which was seen owning south and was captured in surveillance pictures, is a two-door sedan with a sunroof and damage behind the guest door, cops said. At least 3 people remained in the automobile, authorities stated.

Everybody associated with the incident gotten away prior to officers arrived, cops said.
