HOUSTON– Houston’s authorities chief says a man implicated of killing one of former President George H.W. Bush’s doctors eliminated himself when challenged by authorities.
Chief Art Acevedo stated Friday that 62-year-old Joseph James Pappas passed away from a single self-inflicted shot to the head during a fight with cops.
Acevedo reported that Pappas had body armor on throughout the conflict.
Cops declare Pappas shot Dr. Mark Hausknecht on July 20 while the cardiologist rode his bike to work at Houston Methodist Healthcare Facility.
Acevedo has actually said Pappas may have been seeking revenge for his mother, who died on the physician’s operating room more than Twenty Years ago, in April 1997.
Authorities had actually previously explained Pappas as armed, unsafe and potentially suicidal.
