Chauffeur detained after trying to run pedestrians over near Johnson Junior high school

An individual remains in custody for attempted murder after attempting to run over individuals near Walter Johnson Junior High School Friday afternoon, inning accordance with Las Vegas City police. A witness informed FOX5 at about 4 p.m. a person tried to run over two kids at the school situated near Alta Drive and Buffalo Drive.

Police stated the occurrence began as an argument between two good friends. The suspect then tried to run over the victim and hit numerous vehicles.

The witness said throughout the chase the vehicle kept owning in circles and at one point, a vehicle that was hit impacted an individual nearby. The negligent driver then ran onto the lawn and got stuck.

A guy pulled the driver from the lorry and started battling with him, the witness said. Numerous school aides then helped pin the suspect down outside of the automobile.

Metro later on identified the suspect as 24-year-old Clay Green and charged him with attempted murder and battery with a lethal weapon.
