( Luis Marquez/ FOX5). LAS VEGAS( FOX5)- Medical examiners identified a man who was eliminated after rear-ending a semi-truck in the southwest part of the Valley early Tuesday morning. Inning accordance with the Clark County Coroner’s Workplace, the male was identified as 22-year-old Andrew Enrique Mcara, of Las Vegas. Officers responded to the collision at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Robindale Roadway soon after 4 a.m. According to witness reports, Mcara lagged the wheel of a 2012 Honda Civic taking a trip northbound

on Rainbow Boulevard. According to Sgt. Paul McCullough, of Las Vegas City authorities, a Las Vegas Paving Co. semi-truck was slowly heading northbound after the light had just turned green. Mcara’s Honda Civic struck the rear-end of the truck.

” The automobile was totaled … I have not seen a vehicle that messed up,” witness Daniel Nielan said. “As soon as I saw that it was the front end of the automobile that was amounted to, I was practically particular that he had actually passed away in the crash.”

Mcara was pronounced dead at the scene, McCullough said. Authorities said extreme speed and problems might have contributed to the crash.

” It’s scary driving around here with all individuals that do that sort of things,” Nielan said.

The chauffeur of the semi-truck remained at the scene and cooperated with cops, McCullough said. He was not believed of disability.

The crossway was closed for the investigation.

This marks the 67th traffic-related death in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2018.
