The death of a 4-month-old girl who spent 2 weeks at a Las Vegas health center and died in December was ruled a homicide, according to the Clark County coroner’s workplace.
Aralee Jo Ballance, who was 4 months and 27 days old at the time of her death on Dec. 29, passed away from “complications of non-accidental injury,” the coroner’s workplace stated Saturday. Her death was ruled a homicide.
On Dec. 15, emergency medical workers reacted to a call about an unresponsive child, according to Clark County officials. Aralee was carried to Sunrise Health center and Medical Center and listed in vital condition.
The Clark County Department of Family Solutions was informed of the initial event on Dec. 15 and notified of the fatality on Dec. 30, the county said in December.
The family of Aralee, who was an only child, had one previous report of alleged abuse, which was in August. Family Solutions stated in December that the allegation was dubious and the case was closed.
