ATLANTA– A coroner states a stuntman for “The Strolling Dead” has died from injuries suffered in a fall on the Georgia set of the hit tv show.
Coweta County Coroner Richard Hawk confirmed Friday that 33-year-old John Bernecker passed away about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at an Atlanta healthcare facility. Bernecker fell earlier Wednesday on the show’s set in Senoia, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) south of Atlanta.
Hawk said Bernecker passed away from blunt force injury which his death is thought about unintentional.
“The Strolling Dead,” the often-gory AMC program based on a comic series that narrates the lives of people battling to endure a zombie armageddon, is recording its eighth season.
