Father detained in death of son, 3, after kid was pulled from bath tub

CITY COPS Brandon Nicholson Related news What started as a probe into a 3-year-old young boy being pulled from a bathtub and rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon became a homicide investigation when medics discovered bruising throughout his body, inning accordance with Metro Cops.

The kid’s dad, Brandon Nicholson, is under arrest and being reserved on one count each of murder by kid abuse and child abuse with considerable bodily harm, authorities stated.

Medical crews and officers were dispatched about 2:10 p.m. to an apartment building in the 4600 block of Vegas Drive, near Decatur Boulevard, cops said. The boy was carried to University Medical Center where he passed away about an hour later on.

Private investigators were initially informed the boy had been taken out of the tub and initially described his death as a drowning, however later on ruled it out, cops said, including that his injuries were “too extreme” which multiple life-saving efforts had been not successful.

Nicholson, whose age wasn’t supplied, was positioned under arrest without additional incident, authorities said. He was being imprisoned at the Clark County Detention Center.

Metro late on Friday advised moms and dads practice restraint when disciplining their children. “As a moms and dad, if you feel overloaded, step back, relax and enable some time to pass so you can react appropriately to the scenario.”
