Fire mostly out at northeast Vegas dumpster business

The Clark County Fire Department remained at a recycling and dumpster company Friday early morning after a huge fire appeared there Thursday night.

The department stated firemens were called to business located at 2711 Rimbey Street, near the intersection of Carey Avenue and Nellis Boulevard, about 9:20 p.m. Thursday.

Arriving devices described the fire as a high level structural fire, and a 2nd alarm was required extra resources. County firefighters were helped by teams from Las Vegas and North Las Vegas.

One firemen was taken to the healthcare facility for possible smoke inhalation, the department said. The crew member was later dealt with and released. CCFD said there were nothing else injuries.

According to CCFD, the fire was “deeply seeded” within debris inside a building on the commercial property. Due to this, firefighters stayed on the scene into Friday early morning to make sure anything left smoldering was put out.

The reason for the fire was not immediately identified.
