Firefighters fighting blaze at uninhabited apartment or condos near downtown Las Vegas

Firefighters were battling a blaze at an uninhabited apartment this morning near downtown that closed part of Gold mine Road, inning accordance with Las Vegas Fire & & Rescue authorities.

The fire was reported about 5:15 a.m. at the old Moulin Rouge apartment building at 900 W. Gold mine Road, near H Street, officials stated.

When firemens showed up, heavy flames and smoke were originating from a two-story, cinder block building, and the fire had currently infected the attic, officials stated. A second alarm was requested for extra devices and firemens, officials said.

Nobody was hurt, officials said.

Since 8 a.m., the fire was under control however firefighters were working to entirely snuff out the blaze, officials said. Teams were expected to be on the scene for seveal more hours, officials stated.

Bonanza Road was closed from H Street to Martin Luther King Boulevard.

The reason for the fire is under investigation.
