tendon damage Wednesday when she leapt off a paddleboard on Island Lake in Minnesota. (Source: CNN). DULUTH, Minn. (AP)– An 11-year-old woman suffered bone-deep lacerations when what was most likely a fish chewed on her foot and ankle as she cooled off in a northeastern Minnesota lake. Maren Kesselhon suffered 9 deep cuts and tendon damage Wednesday when she leapt off a paddleboard on Island Lake, near Duluth, about 150 miles northeast of Minneapolis. Maren tells WDIO-TV that she could feel her foot was inside a fish’s mouth and kicked at it with her other foot to totally free herself. The physicians who dealt with Maren say the razor-sharp cuts probably were caused by a muskie, which occupy Island Lake. A Duluth fisherman caught and released a 47-inch long muskie in the lake Wednesday. ___ Info from: WDIO-TV, http://www.wdio.com Copyright 2017 The Associated
