Scammers have gone into the dessert game with a fake coupon using a free box of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts that’s made its rounds on Facebook this week.

It just takes a visit to the company’s official social media page’s comment area to negate the delicious-sounding offer.

Responding to a consumer asking about the discount coupon, the business wrote, “Sadly a fake discount coupon has distributed this week on social networks, which we have worked to eliminate. Always examine deals you find on social versus our validated social networks accounts and our official website.”

The coupon, which utilizes the business’s logo and declares it ends on Friday, states it benefits 12 doughnuts.

In the fake post, the fraudsters ask unsuspecting consumers to share and prefer to later on get the deal.
