“I’m calmer than anticipated however super thrilled. The reality of all of it started to kick in as I started the packing process,” Geovanna told me. “Each one of the candidates has to load as if she will certainly win and after that be away for a year satisfying the Miss Teenager USA duties. The packing alone is quite a challenge!”
Geovanna has actually been a community service volunteer considering that age 12, building up more than 1,000 hours of work. She contributes her time to Three Square food bank and works at the radio stations KJUL and KOOL as a writer and spokesperson.

“I want to be a broadcast journalist, and I also see myself as a philanthropist helping construct and reinforce my community and neighborhoods around the globe. Having guts is the most important trait a person must have on their trip to success. I plan to stay courageous and devoted to what I want.
“In 2013, I called every single radio station in Las Vegas to obtain an internship and now work with KJUL and KOOL.”

The 51 candidates will contend in swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Here’s a YouTube contestant interview video that Geovanna filmed in advance of the pageant:
“I’m extremely optimistic about my chances at the nationwide pageant in the Bahamas. For the preliminaries, I understand that we have a barrier course and water act– and I guess that’s when the pressure really begins. My director Shanna Moakler and my parents have actually been helping and guiding me through current events, such as today’s politics.
“The hardest part of it all will certainly be the interview process with the judges. I want them to know that I’m devoted, genuine and giving. The national pageant is a lot bigger than when I won the Nevada state title in November at UNLV There are more competitors, the stage is bigger, and the judges are much harder on you.
“I have actually learned a lot considering that I won. It’s been an extremely interesting 9 months. I’ve become more orderly, more handled and grown up much more than I expected. Being Miss Nevada Teen has actually been very significant. I signed up with Miss Nevada USA Brittany McGowan for lots of charitable events, and the two of us got to meet Jovany’s Make-a-Wish dream come true of a shopping spree in our company.
“I have actually gone to lots of food kitchens to disperse food on my spare time. I developed an ‘Inspire Gala’ fundraiser to spread awareness and minimize cravings in the Las Vegas Valley. We had local political leaders, philanthropists and neighborhood developers attend and raised $10,000 to supply 30,000 meals for needy right here.”
