Good Samaritan fatally shot by burglary suspect in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS– Las Vegas police say a good Samaritan was shot and killed attempting to stop an armed robber.

Authorities state they received 911 calls Friday afternoon about an injured guy who may have been struck by a cars and truck.

Responding officers discovered a guy in his 20s with at least 2 gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities state a female walking on Rancho Drive near Melody Lane was robbed at gunpoint.

Three guys on bikes, including the victim, pursued the suspect.

The suspect fired shots while running away and struck the victim, who was the only one injured.

The suspect is still at big.

They state bystanders need to not attempt to chase down armed and harmful suspects.
