( Gai Phanalasy/FOX5). HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -. A Henderson father was jailed for shooting and eliminating his kid, inning accordance with authorities. Wendell Melton, 53, was jailed for murder, child abuse, and forbade ownership of a firearm Thursday, inning accordance with Henderson Police. Next-door neighbors said the victim was a teen.

Officers responded at about midday to the 900 block of Seven Hills Drive, near St. Rose Parkway for a domestic disruption.

Authorities said Melton shot his kid in an argument and he was required to St. Rose Dominican Medical facility in vital condition where he later died.

An examination is continuous and it was Henderson’s eighth murder of the year.
