Today, the punk-rock icon and the Spoon frontman signed up with the growing list of verified participants for Emerge, the three-day event set to take control of phases on and near the Las Vegas Strip November 16-18.
Rollins– the 56-year-old previous vocalist for SoCal punk attire Black Flag, leader of the Rollins Band and outspoken writer for LA Weekly– has actually signed on as a speaker, fitting given his substantial experience as a visiting spoken-word artist. “All of us are really geeked out about [Rollins],” Emerge talent purchaser Mike Henry states. “He was at the leading edge of a musical motion, and to this day he’s interested in all kinds of things from all over the world.
