. A high school was temporarily locked down today after a hysterical lady, apparently the victim of a criminal offense and potentially carrying a hammer, appeared at the structure, according to Clark County School District and City police.
City Cops got a report about 11:30 a.m. of a female knocking on the door of a house in the 6600 block of Painted Morning Opportunity, throughout from the East Career and Technical Academy, 6705 Vegas Valley Drive, Officer Jesse Roybal stated.
The woman said she was seeking assistance and went to the school, Roybal stated. Authorities got information that she might have had a hammer, he stated.
School District Police Capt. Ken Young stated the 20-year-old woman was the victim of a criminal activity and was hysterical.
The school was locked down from about noon to 1 p.m., authorities stated.
Metro Cops are examining.
