I-215 near Decatur Boulevard resumes to traffic after oil spill

Interstate 215 at South Decatur Boulevard was closed down Friday early morning due to a cement truck spilling oil onto the highway, according to Nevada Highway Patrol. The incident happened at 8:47 a.m. NHP stated 7 separate car crashes happened as an outcome of the oil spill. No serious injuries were reported.

Traffic was diverted onto Interstate 15 due to the lane closures, NHP said.

All westbound lanes on I-215 were resumed to traffic soon before 12:45 p.m.
