accident on Boulder Highway on July 15, 2017.( Cherney Amhara/FOX5). LAS VEGAS( FOX5)-. Authorities are investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian crash in east Las Vegas Saturday early morning. Metro reacted to a reported traffic accident at the intersection of Stone Highway and Desert Horizons Drive, near Russell Road, right before 9 a.m.

Officers said an 89-year-old pedestrian was crossing the highway at that place outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a 2006 Acura TL.

Traffic constraints were in place at the intersection as deadly detail investigated the crash scene.

Authorities stated the male was transported to Sunrise Medical facility in vital condition, however later died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the collision.

The crash stays under examination according to City.
