Metro examines deadly crash in NW Las Vegas

July 8, 2017.( Kurt Rempe/FOX5 ). LAS VEGAS( FOX5)-. Las Vegas authorities are examining a traffic collision that left an elderly lady dead in the northwest part of town Saturday morning. Officers reacted to a reported traffic mishap at the crossway of Craig Roadway and Tenaya Method at 11:40 a.m.

The crash included a Chrysler 300 and a Toyota Prius. The 84-year-old unrestrained female victim was caught inside the Prius after the accident.

Metro stated emergency situation crews were able to eliminate the victim from the vehicle but she was later noticable deceased by medical workers.

Inning accordance with a release, the Toyota was taking a trip east on Craig Roadway when the Chrysler made a left turn from westbound Craig Roadway onto Tenaya in front of the Prius.

The cars collided triggering the lethal crash that also left the motorist of the Prius with injuries. He was identified as 85-year-old Alexander Alvin. Alvin was carried to UMC Trauma for further treatment.

The motorist of the Chrysler, 47-year-old Keith Banks, remained on the scene and did not show indications of problems, stated authorities.

The Clark County Coroner will release the identity of the departed once family is alerted.
