. After a 10-year run, “Mindfreak Live!”at Luxor will close Oct. 28, Cirque du Soleil and Criss Angel Productions announced today.
“It has been an extraordinary experience working with Cirque du Soleil and Luxor these previous nine years. They have been remarkable partners and will always belong to my household,” magician Criss Angel stated. “I am so pleased with what we have actually created together, and I am very thrilled about the brand-new illusions we will be including our final year of ‘Mindfreak Live!'”
“Criss Angel Believe,” a $100 million production, debuted at Luxor on Oct. 31, 2008, and was replaced by “Mindfreak Live!” in 2016.
“We’re very blessed to have the best-selling magic show in the world, an incredibly well-received program that truly gets in touch with individuals on a psychological level,” Angel informed the Las Vegas Sun in July when he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Popularity. “My present agreement expires Oct. 31 next year, and I will have completed Ten Years.”
The collaboration of Angel and Cirque du Soleil resulted in 4,000 efficiencies.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Criss Angel for the previous nine years,” said Jerry Nadal, senior vice president of Cirque du Soleil. “Criss is a visionary artist and watching his illusions come to life onstage has been an extraordinary experience. We respect his choice to check out other chances after 10 successful years at Luxor and we are anticipating a remarkable final year.”
