The Montreal Guitar Trio (MG3) goes back to the UNLV Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, in the Doc Rando Recital Hall of the Beam Music Center. The performance is sponsored by Dr. Mitchell and Pearl Forman.
Explained by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as the “hottest” guitar ensemble in Canada, MG3 has rapidly developed itself as a force to be reckoned with, along with an interactive force in numerous musical types. For more than 20 years, the trio’s virtuosity, rigor, creativity, and remarkable phase existence have been winning over audiences worldwide. The trio, composed of guitarists Sébastien Dufour, Glenn Lévesque, and Marc Morin, has offered hundreds of shows in a few of the most prestigious places across The United States and Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, including the legendary Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the BB King Blues Club in New York City City.
Tickets to MG3 are $45 and can be bought onlineor by calling at the Performing Arts Center ticket office at 702-895-ARTS (2787 ). Trainee rush tickets are $10 each and readily available one hour prior to each event with valid trainee I.D. UNLV faculty and staff discounts likewise are offered. The UNLV Carrying Out Arts Center is Southern Nevada’s first home for the arts: it opened in 1976 and commemorates its 42nd season this year.
