NLVPD examines occurrence at Cheyenne High School

( Luis Marquez/FOX5). NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV( FOX5 )-. A North Las Vegas police existence was reported early Wednesday morning at Cheyenne High School. Officers were seen surrounding the school and blocking traffic at the school, situated at 3200 West Alexander Roadway, at about 6 a.m.

Police said a janitor found a broken window at the school and detectives were then called to search the school.

A vending maker had actually been burglarized on school grounds, inning accordance with the North Las Vegas Police Department, however found nothing further once inside the high school.

Witnesses initially informed FOX5 that the original call may have been associated with a break-in scenario.

Students were enabled into school a brief time later after the original call to authorities.
