Obama leaves Las Vegas with little fanfare

There was more excitement on the way in.

President Barack Obama completed his 18th see to Nevada at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday with a quick wave to press and White House staff prior to boarding Air Force One.

A 20-vehicle motorcade escorted him to McCarran International Airport. Getting from vehicles to the Boeing 747-200B took about 15 minutes.

No public figures appeared to bid farewell, although numerous Gov. Brian Sandoval, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak welcomed him to the valley Monday.

Obama spoke Monday at Sen. Harry Reid’s Climate Control Summit at Mandalay Bay.
