Officer shoots armed suspect with stolen automobile in northwest Las Vegas

2017.( Butch Saguisag/Facebook). LAS VEGAS( FOX5 )-. Las Vegas Metro police said they are examining an officer-involved shooting Tuesday afternoon. The occurrence occurred at 1:52 p.m. in the 6700 block of Durango Drive,

near Interstate 215. Authorities stated the suspect remained in a stolen car. In the Kohl’s parking area, he was come by an only officer. The officer gave him numerous commands and the suspect chose not to comply. The suspect took out a gun and the officer shot him numerous times. The suspect was required to University Medical Center and went into surgical treatment, in important and unsteady condition.

” Our officer took fantastic care issued numerous verbal commands offered the subject several opportunities to comply and he cannot do so. And he pulled a gun on a policeman. That’s clearly not an advantage,” stated LVMPD Sargent Jeff Clark.

According to Metro, the suspect had seemed troubled and a body electronic camera taped the circumstance. The cars and truck was taken in Metro’s jurisdiction. It’s unidentified when it was stolen.

More details and body cam video is expected to be launched Friday.
