One punch kills California dad of five on Fremont Street

LAS VEGAS( FOX5 )-. Medical inspectors identified a man who passed away after being punched simply once in the face beyond a Fremont Street bar over the weekend. The Clark County Coroner’s Workplace identified the victim as Luis Campos, 45, of La Puente, California. His cause and manner of death stayed pending.

Inning accordance with Las Vegas Metro authorities, officers were called to the 500 block of Fremont Street early Sunday early morning to find an unconscious man on the walkway, struggling with a head injury. He was taken to University Medical Center with a lethal injury, cops said.

Inning accordance with authorities, he had been standing in line to enter a bar when he was approached by 2 males. An argument began and a suspect punched the victim. Both males then fled.

On Thursday, the victim passed away from his injuries. Authorities stated the suspects ran east on Fremont Street and turned left on Sixth Street.

” He was amusing, he was caring he was kind,” his mom Joyce Garibay said. “Even if he was broke, he constantly had a present for me for Mom’s Day or my birthday. That’s just the man he was.”

Police released video of the suspects leaving the scene. Anybody with details the suspects or this case is asked to contact police at 702-828-3521.

” The bottom line is that person murdered my son,” Joyce Garibay sobbed. “He was a hubby, a father to five kids and he was my best friend.”
