2017.( Cherney Amhara/FOX5). LAS VEGAS (FOX5)-. Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took the life of one man late Friday night in southwest Las Vegas. Officers responded to the 9100 block of Vintage Wine Opportunity, near Pebble Roadway and Quarterhorse Lane, at about 10:30 p.m. with reports of a male down in the park.

Metro stated arriving officers found an 18-year-old deceased with an apparent gunshot injury within the community park.

A variety of witnesses told authorities they tried to restore the guy however were not successful, as he was noticable dead at the scene by medical workers.

Murder detectives said through their preliminary examination, the 18-year-old was fulfilling another person at the park when he was robbed and shot.

Authorities did not launch any additional immediate details on the shooter and stated the event remains under investigation.
