Pedestrian taken to UMC after being hit by automobile, police say

. One person was required to University Medical Center after being struck by an automobile near Decatur Boulevard and Sahara Opportunity tonight, according to City Police.

Police were called about 8:50 p.m. to the scene, Lt. Kendall Bell stated.

The pedestrian was taken to UMC with injuries believed to be nonlife-threatening, he stated.

Authorities could not verify the gender of the pedestrian or if the individual was in a crosswalk throughout the incident, however a witness informed authorities a male stumbling upon the street was hit by a Ford Expedition.
