‘Person of interest’ searched for Heller gets threatening letter

City Cops today released video footage of a “person of interest” in a Sunday incident in which a threatening letter was left for U.S. Sen. Dean Heller outside his Las Vegas office.

The male was referred to as a heavyset white guy in between 50 and 60 years of ages, police stated. He had a gray beard and was using a black Oakland Raiders ball cap, a short-sleeved collared shirt and shorts.

Officers were dispatched about 9 a.m. Sunday to Heller’s workplace in the 8900 block of Sunset Roadway, near Durango Drive, after a robbery alarm was activated, authorities stated.

Detectives discovered the letter near the door to Heller’s office, cops stated. Neither Heller’s office nor City would talk about the contents of the letter.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call authorities at 311. To remain confidential, contact Criminal activity Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at crimestoppersofnv.com.
