The pit bull mix that eliminated a six-month old child Monday in the northwest Las Vegas Valley was put down Tuesday afternoon. The Clark County Coroner’s Workplace recognized the infant as Kamiko Dao Tsuda-Saelee, from Las Vegas. The kid’s cause and way of death remained pending Tuesday.
Inning accordance with Officer Laura Meltzer, of Las Vegas City police, a call of an attack came in at 1:13 p.m. in the 9100 block of West Brilliant Grassy field Court, which is near North Fort Apache Road and West Centennial Parkway.
Tsuda-Saelee was required to Centennial Health center. She later died while in treatment, according to Clark County representative Dan Kulin.
Police said the infant had actually been playing in a walker near the pet dog when the canine assaulted the baby. Tsuda-Saelee’s mother was able to stop the attack, but her child had currently suffered substantial injuries.
City’s Abuse and Neglect detectives were contacted us to the scene. Police said it appears to be a “tragic accident” and no criminal charges were prepared for.
Clark County Animal Control Officers took custody of the nine-year-old canine. Kulin said the owner “gave up” the pet dog Monday and that because the pet dog assaulted and killed, it would not be allowed to be adopted.
Cops advised moms and dads, guardians and caretakers to supervise interactions in between family pets and small children.
