(Source: Provided Photo/Family). (MEREDITH)– A Maryland female who gave birth 7 weeks early after her boyfriend apparently set her on fire is defending her life in the medical facility. Police discovered Andrea Grinage, 31, with extreme burns in the bathtub of her apartment or condo in Capitol Heights, just beyond Washington, D.C on Friday. The brand-new mother told very first responders that her partner, 34-year-old Laquinn Phillips, attacked her and threatened to eliminate one of her family members, < a href =" http://wjla.com/news/local/police-pregnant-woman-in-critical-condition-after-being-set-on-fire-suspect-arrested"

” Well, all of it stems from him not wanting to take responsibility for him being a brand-new father,” stated Arthur Grinage. “He didn’t desire that. As soon as the child is developed, it’s far too late for all that. You either step up and be a papa or you walk away.”
Both mom and kid stay in critical condition.
Cops stated Phillips turned himself in, however an intention for the criminal activity is still under investigation. Charges are currently pending.
