Pregnant teen accuseded of rape looks for youthful status

(AP)– An Alabama teenager accuseded of raping the boy who fertilized her is asking a judge to treat her as a vibrant wrongdoer. Court files show a Jackson County court is thinking about the request submitted by 19-year-old Mekenzie Leigh Guffey. Records reveal Guffey signed an ask for younger culprit status recently. If given, the case would be sealed from the general public and Guffey would deal with a restricted prison sentence if convicted.

Guffey is complimentary on bond after being charged with rape, sexual abuse and other offenses for allegedly making love with a 14-year-old kid. She is now pregnant with an infant due in the fall.

Police in the north Alabama town of Hollywood jailed Guffey after discovering she sought help through a program that helps pregnant women.
