RENO– The Reno Rodeo wants to end up being a larger gamer in the sport.

The association that manages the rodeo recently announced a $120 million plan to revamp the Reno Animals Occasions Center.

A committee of the Reno Rodeo Association says it hasn’t figured out finances yet. However it’s looking at public and private collaborations.

The current arena is years old and can hold 9,000 individuals. A new location would accommodate a crowd of 15,000.

The Reno Gazette Journal reports that strategies likewise call for a 52,000 square-foot exhibit hall, more horse stalls and a larger parking lot.

Rodeo association Chairman Clint Thiesse says the old arena would be demolished.
