Second suspect in Wonder Mall Shops shooting on Strip surrenders to police

LVMPD Jaime Gonzalez Police state the 2nd suspect in recently’s shooting at the Wonder Mile Shops on the Strip turned himself into custody on Saturday.

Jaime Gonzalez, 25, is suspected of driving the car that fled the scene with Jonathan Ozuna, who was already apprehended in connection with the event, according to Metro Police.

The shooting took place about 7:45 p.m. last Thursday when two security guards confronted 2 robbery suspects in the parking garage of the mall, cops said. They chased the suspects to the 3rd flooring, where cops believe Ozuna opened fire, striking one guard in the hand and the other in the neck, police stated.

The guards were taken to Daybreak Medical facility with non lethal injuries, cops stated.

Gonzalez was being held on counts of theft, grand larceny, conspiracy to devote robbery and conspiracy to dedicate grand larceny.

Ozuna, 34, was being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center on 2 counts of tried murder and one count each of theft with gun, grand larceny, conspiracy to devote grand larceny and conspiracy to devote theft, police said.
