LAS VEGAS (FOX5) –
Las Vegas Metro authorities were actively looking for a suspect who carjacked a United States Postal Service vehicle late Saturday early morning.
The automobile was located unoccupied at the intersection of Desert Inn and Eastern Avenue about 2 p.m.
Officers responded to the scene at the 3800 block of Algonquin Drive, near Flamingo Roadway and Maryland Parkway at 11:54 a.m. Lt. Patricia Cervantes of Las Vegas Metro cops said a suspect approached a male postal worker and asked him for a flight.
After the employee rejected, the suspect required him to exit the car, police stated. The suspect left in the USPS vehicle in an unknown instructions.
The postal employee informed cops that he saw a weapon in the suspect’s belongings, however the suspect did not point the gun at him, cops confirmed.
A description of the suspect was not offered at this time. Anyone with information on the suspect or the USPS automobile’s location should right away call police.
