. An armed suspect was shot and killed today by at least one Henderson Law enforcement officer following a brief foot pursuit near Car Show Drive, inning accordance with Lt. Kirk Moore.
Officers first responded about 2 a.m. to a Henderson area where someone reported a “violent burglary,” said Moore in an online rundown.
At some point after, near Stone Highway and Texas Avenue, officers identified a car thought in the robbery and attempted a car stop, Moore stated.
But the chauffeur did not instantly stop, he included. The vehicle driver led cops on about a 3 and 1/2 mile pursuit to Gibson and Path Canyon roadways, exited the lorry, brandished a weapon and then led officers on a “short” foot pursuit prior to cops opened fire, Moore stated.
More information was not immediately available, consisting of how many officers opened fire, if the suspect shot a weapon or where that person passed away.
