(Roger Bryner/FOX5). LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -. A part of the Las Vegas Strip was obstructed off Friday afternoon due to a suspicious vehicle and plan, according to Las Vegas Metro police. Police said the automobile and bundle were found in the location of Las Vegas Boulevard and Wynn Drive.

After an investigation, authorities determined it was not a threat. A law enforcement source told FOX5’s Christine Maddela that the bomb squad cleared the package. The source included, the plan was wrapped in duct tape, had actually a rope connected to it, and had an igniter on it. Someone was apprehended. Las Vegas Boulevard was closed in both instructions to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Cathedral Method to Spring Mountain Road, police stated. Cops advised individuals to avoid the location. It was reopened at about 3:45 p.m.
