in a parking area outside a northwestern Indiana thrift shop. The shooting occurred Tuesday afternoon in Merrillville as the woman, a 1-year-old boy and her mother waited in the vehicle while the woman’s sweetheart was inside the store. Authorities say the man is also the girl’s daddy and apparently left the loaded gun in the car.

The lady is noted in crucial however stable condition. Detective Sgt. James Bogner says the lady “had no idea what she had done and she was extremely terrified.”

Police say the man is being held on suspicion of child endangerment.

The kids have been positioned into protective custody. Cops state the family resides in Michigan City.

Drunk man accidentally takes $1,600 Uber trip
