Father charged with killing man who attempted to follow daughter into bathroom stall

A Phoenix dad is in prison after authorities state he killed a man who aimed to get in a restroom stall with his child.

Melvin Harris, 40, is now dealing with a second-degree murder charge for that

man’s death. His fiancee, Diana Jackson, says he was just protecting their daughter.

“I’m not mad at him. I do not seem like he did anything incorrect. I like him. He did exactly what he was supposed to do for our kid. You can not inform someone they’re incorrect for protecting their kids,” said Jackson.

Previously this month she says Harris was getting their 16-year-old daughter and two of her pals, who had actually all just gotten off work.

They asked to stop at the QuikTrip convenience store for a soda and a restroom break. That’s when Harris’ daughter says a male, whom cops have identified as Leon Leevon Armstrong, came intruding, shaking the stall door aiming to get to the teenager.

North Las Vegas police on Tuesday afternoon revealed they have actually taken somebody into custody in connection to a concealed electronic camera positioned in the restroom of a business last month.
