. A motorist believed of DUI claimed the brakes in her automobile didn’t work when she knocked it into a south valley convenience store, injuring 3 people, pinning among them under a slot machine, inning accordance with a City Police arrest report.
Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, Lula Mae Jack, 53, pulled into a 7-Eleven at 1805 E. Tropicana Ave., near Maryland Parkway, police stated.
But her Buick did not stop in the parking lot, cops stated. It continued, running over a victim’s foot outside the store and ramming into slots within, injuring 2 other people inside.
Among them, a guy, was pinned beneath among the makers, which broke his neck, police said.
Officers saw that Jack’s eyes were bloodshot, and she stopped working sobriety tests, blowing above the legal limitation, police said. She informed private investigators she ‘d had one beer at home.
Jack was scheduled with a $50,000 bond at the Clark County Detention Center on a DUI count, prison logs show. She remained imprisoned on Friday night.
