Joseph Eskandarian took a deal where he pleaded guilty to 3 counts of responsibility to stop at the scene of a crash involving death or accident.
Las Vegas Metro police stated a group of kids, aged 12- to 14-years-old, were walking on a sidewalk at Desert Inn Road and Ocean Crest Street, near Nellis Boulevard when they were struck by a 2007 Suzuki Forenza driven by Eskandarian. Three young boys were eliminated and another suffered a damaged leg.
A witness saw Eskandarian run from the scene of the crash, police stated. Officers stated they discovered his wallet in the vehicle, which had his name and address listed on a traffic ticket. Officers went to his house where they questioned him.
Cops said he altered his story several times, at first mentioning his automobile was stolen. His arrest report mentioned he didn’t call 911 since he stated: “it was not an emergency situation.” He likewise said is gas pedal got stuck and reached down to move whatever caused it to stick and went off the road. He stated he hit individuals and asked if they were alright however when they didn’t respond, he went house. Adding, he understood he was in problem and “wanted to invest his last few minutes of liberty with his household.”
Eskandarian is set up to be sentenced on Jan. 22.
