NHP: Chauffeur ejected, killed after crashing into handicapped truck in east Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS( FOX5) – Someone was killed after crashing into a disabled automobile near U.S. 95 and Charleston Boulevard Tuesday night, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. NHP reacted to the crash at 7:22 p.m. Cannon fodder Jason Buratczuk stated a Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling northbound on the United States 95 when it crashed into the right barrier wall then into the center mean before coming to a stop in a travel lane.

About 5 minutes later on, a Nissan Pathfinder crashed into the handicapped truck. The chauffeur of the Nissan was ejected from the automobile and was noticable dead at the scene. Buratczuk said the chauffeur was not wearing a seat belt.

During the course of the examination, NHP Troopers figured out the motorist of the Dodge was driving under the influence. The driver deals with several charges including DUI and hampering the flow of traffic to name a few, NHP said.

Buratckuk said this is the 3rd death investigated by NHP just two days into 2018. He advised chauffeurs to remain safe and vigilant on the streets.

The Clark County Coroner will release the name of the victim.

Man killed after crashing into valley home

Metro cops are investigating a single-vehicle mishap that took place Sunday night near Wyoming Opportunity and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Police stated a senior guy was driving east and continued through the traffic signal, drove up onto a curb, then a parking lot, a wall and eventually landing in the back of a home.

A 12-year-old was oversleeping the back bedroom where the vehicle landed.

The Red Cross is aiding the household with damages.

Authorities believe a medical episode could be to blame for the crash

The victim’s cause of death will certainly be released by the Clark County Coroner’s workplace.
