Hit-and-run critically hurts pedestrian in northeast Las Vegas

> (FOX5). LAS VEGAS( FOX5)-. A pedestrian suffered lethal injuries in an apparent hit-and-run at Gold mine Roadway and 28th Street, near Eastern Opportunity, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Authorities.

The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital. Eastbound Treasure trove, along with Wardelle Street, Manning Street and Mojave Roadway were closed down as officers investigated, authorities said.

Cops stated a gray or silver sedan was involved in the mishap. The pedestrian remains in vital condition since Saturday morning.

LAS VEGAS( FOX5) -. One guy was killed and another was critically injured in a shootout Tuesday night, according to Las Vegas Metro cops.

Officers were called to the 4800 block of Boulder Highway, near Flamingo Road, at 10:57 p.m.

. According to Lt. Ray Spencer, of City’s Murder Area, a male in his late teenagers or early 20s went to an apartment to purchase drugs from a male in his 30s. There was some type of conflict inside the home and the man left. The male then went back to the apartment or condo with a firearm and demanded drugs. The other guy inside the apartment secured a gun and the 2 shot at each other.

The guy who at first went to the apartment or condo sustained a fatal gunshot wound and the other guy was taken to Dawn Medical facility in crucial condition, Spencer said.

A woman and child inside the apartment or condo were not injured, Spencer said.

Spencer stated there is no prior involving the 2 men at the apartment or condo.

Cops said the call initially came in as a reported burglary.

An examination is ongoing.

Authorities: 2 killed, 3 critically injured in NYC helicopter crash

NEW YORK– A helicopter crashed into New York City’s East River Sunday night and flipped upside down in the water, eliminating 2 of the 6 individuals aboard and leaving 3 others in vital condition, officials stated.

Video taken by an onlooker and posted on Twitter shows the red helicopter land hard in the water then capsize, its rotors slapping at the water.

The helicopter, a personal charter employed for a picture shoot, decreased near Gracie Mansion, the mayoral home. One person, the pilot, released himself and was rescued by a tugboat, officials said.

The travelers were recovered by police and fire department scuba divers, who had to remove them from tight harnesses while they were upside down, Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro stated.

Witnesses on a waterfront esplanade near where the aircraft decreased stated the helicopter was flying noisily, then suddenly dropped into the water and quickly submerged. But the pilot appeared on the surface, keeping a flotation gadget as a tugboat and then police boats approached.

“It’s cold water. It was sinking actually quickly,” Mary Lee, 66, informed the New york city Post. “By the time we got out here, we could not see it. It was undersea.”

News video showed one victim being loaded into an ambulance while emergency employees gave him chest compressions.

An onlooker, Susan Larkin, told The Associated Press that she went down to see rescue boats in the river and a cops helicopter circling overhead, hovering low over the water.

“You could clearly see they were browsing,” she said.

A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman said the Eurocopter AS350 decreased just after 7 p.m. The airplane was owned by Liberty Helicopters, a company that uses both private charters and sightseeing tours popular with tourists. A phone message entrusted the business was not right away returned.

Man, 69, struck by automobile while crossing road, critically injured

. A 69-year-old pedestrian suffered deadly injuries Thursday when he was struck by a cars and truck in the main valley, according to City Cops.

The Las Vegas guy was crossing the roadway near Charleston Boulevard and Arville Street about 5:50 p.m. when he was struck by a 2004 Lexus ES 330, cops said. He was required to University Medical Center in vital condition, police said.

The male had to do with 150 feet from a designated crosswalk, authorities stated. The driver of the Lexus, who was not impaired, was cooperating with detectives, police stated.

Scooter rider critically hurt in crash with cement truck

. A scooter rider suffered dangerous injuries today in a crash with a cement truck that shut down the crossway of Sahara Avenue and Nellis Boulevard, according to City Cops.

The intersection was closed in all directions as about 2:15 p.m.

Motorcyclist critically hurt in Henderson crash

The motorcyclist was required to a regional healthcare facility in vital condition, NHP stated.

Roadway restrictions remain in put on Galleria Drive towards U.S. 95. Drivers were advised to use alternate routes.

A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a crash in North Las Vegas Friday afternoon, authorities reported.

The crash occurred about 3 p.m. near the intersection of La Madra Method and Goldeneye Method, just north of West Lone Mountain Road. Authorities didn’t instantly report how the crash took place.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -.

One person was seriously wounded during a shooting in North Las Vegas on Wednesday night, according to police.

The shooting occurred about 6 p.m. near the crossway of Clayton Street and Carey Avenue.

According to Officer Aaron Patty, of North Las Vegas authorities, the victim was brought to University Medical Center for treatment.

Patty said police are still searching for the shooter.
