LAS VEGAS (FOX5) –
2 individuals are dead after an obvious murder-suicide in northwest La Vegas, inning accordance with City cops.
Officers were contacted us to the 10000 block of West Alexander Road, near Grand Canyon Drive, at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
“Six fast shots right in a row,” neighbor Dustin stated. He asked FOX5 to withhold his last name.
According to authorities, Thomas Acosta, 44, killed his other half Noel, 46, then turned the weapon on himself. Noel’s teen daughter called 911.
“They had a 15-year-old daughter,” Dustin stated. “It’s lucky she’s OK physically, however mentally she’s going to be going through a lot for a long period of time.”
In a Facebook post, a female who said she’s Thomas’ stepmom published about the disaster. “Depression, abandonment, mental instability, misconception … are real sensations that have to be dealt with,” the message stated.
“It’s so hard to wrap your head around,” neighbor Jennifer Cress said.
Cress stated she knew Noel but not Thomas.
“I never saw a guy,” Cress said. “I didn’t understand she was married. I thought she was a single mama.”
Cress likewise stated Noel was a great neighbor who liked her kids.
“There were constantly teens at her home so I understand she was hospitable,” Cress said. “The kids always seemed actually happy.”
