New York City (AP)– Transgender rights activist and television star Jazz Jennings says she is doing terrific following gender confirmation surgical treatment.
The 17-year-old “I Am Jazz” star published an image of herself in a health center gown on Instagram. She thanked followers for their “love and support.”
In a YouTube video earlier this month, she stated she was looking forward to the surgery and had actually been ready for it “my whole life.”
Jennings, who was detected with gender dysphoria at age 3, initial step into the public eye when she was spoken with in 2007 by Barbara Walters for “20/20.” Jennings has actually been the star of the TLC program “I Am Jazz” given that 2015. She and her moms and dads co-founded the TransKids Purple Rainbow Structure, which helps transgender youth, in 2007.
